KELLY PIACSEK
FOR WAUKESHA SCHOOL BOARD
A Voice for Families
A mother of three district students, Kelly Piacsek understands the importance of the parent-teacher partnership. She respects the challenging role of district educators, staff and administrators, and knows firsthand that no two children are the same, just as individual students are neither "typical" nor "average". She believes public schools have a responsibility to serve all students to their greatest potential, to keep personal ideologies and age-inappropriate materials out of the classrooms and to ensure parents play the primary role as decision makers in their child's K-12 educational experience.

She also believes that public school districts must be fiscally responsible, plan for long-term maintenance and facility needs, invest in sequenced, evidence-based curriculum and hold students, staff and the Board to high expectations.

Last year, Kelly introduced a parental rights and transparency resolution that outlined the Board's commitment to creating a positive, age-appropriate and safe learning environment, free from distractions, and focused on exceptional outcomes for all students. The resolution passed unanimously in January 2023, and has served as a model for districts across Wisconsin.

Kelly chose public schools for her three children because she believes in the power of strong communities coming together to create positive college and career pathways for students. Her family is grateful to the exceptional teachers, dedicated administrators and amazing families across SDW. Kelly's unwavering commitment to the Waukesha School District students and families underscores these values.
